Ainsworth Elementary Science Fair

The Science Fair welcomes all Ainsworth students and families to participate. Every interested student is encouraged to enter a project with an emphasis on learning and enjoying. This is NOT a competition. Even if you don’t enter a project, you can still come and enjoy the project displays, do a hands-on activity, watch the science show, and take part in the Egg Drop Contest. Mark your calendars and be a part of this enriching experience!

Event Schedule

• 9:00 am | Welcome & poster board setup
• 9:30 – 10:15 am  
  • Group A presentations to Science Buddies in gym
  • Group B scientific showcase in auditorium 
• 10:30 – 11:15 am 
  • Group B presentations to Science Buddies in gym
  • Group A scientific showcase in auditorium
• 11:15 am – 12:00 pm | Egg Drop

Ready to participate in the Science Fair? Here’s what you’ll need:

1. Get your Science Fair booklet | Download the PDF (English / Spanish) or pick up a copy at the school office.
2. Choose your project | Explore a science project idea that sparks your interest! Utilize resources such as books in the library, materials from your teacher, or browse online for inspiration.
3. Sign up and pick up poster board | Deposit the Science Fair Entry Form into the Science Fair Box in the school office by Friday, April 9 and pick up your tri-fold poster board to showcase your work.
4. Plan to attend | Join us at Ainsworth on Saturday, April 17, to present your project and be part of the Science Fair excitement!

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us for the Science Buddies or to lead activities. We especially need Spanish speaking Science Buddies to support our Spanish Immersion participants.
